Karl Mundt Project
Pedro "Karl Mundt" Pereira is an octogenarian Portuguese, self proclaimed "artiste", wannabe multi-instrumentalist and a sociopath/serial killer (according to authorities and most female acquaintances). After playing guitar for most of his life, alienating family, friends, neighbours, cats and dogs, he decided that this was the time to bore more people with loud drums and delicious fuzzed out bass. His disastrous capabilities were reflected in the recording of the "Spit Your Gum" EP in February 2009, where he played all instruments, mixed it, produced it, and successfully performed fellatio on himself to commemorate his fabulous accomplishment (believe me that's quite a feat for an octogenarian). "Spit Your Gum" is a collection of seven rock songs where voice his given to some true visionaries of contemporary American/Western culture such as Jeffrey Dahmer and Charles Manson (everyone knows it has been overdone, but that doesn't stop it of being obviously funny); to drugged-out cops who eat hash/weed brownies and face impending death due to an obvious THC overdose; to excellent educational documentaries on the dangers of communism (a beneficial consequence of 1950's McCarthyism), sex, and pornography, and also to World War III paranoia and the positive effects of ducking and seeking cover under the event of a nuclear explosion on your backyard. Sound wise his influences range mostly from everything made between the period of 1965-1989. Being that his releases are free (as in beer), he doesn't pull a decent cent out of this cacophony, being forced to work for real life trolls everyday (like everyone else) so that he can maintain his addiction to cheap vodka and other unhealthy habits. On his private "side" Pedro/Karl likes singing in the shower, long beach walks, sunsets, being a perverted misogynist, vomiting and bleeding all over himself.

Spit Your Gum(2009)
More of an EP than an LP.
Cul De Sac(2010)
"Cul De Sac" is the third album by KMP. The "sample based rock" of the two previous releases is mostly gone, with vocals present on most of the tracks. Our everyday life is still the main object of analysis on most lyrics - we're living through some strange times is all I can say. All music is licensed under Creative Commons v. 3.0, Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike, so you're free to spread it if you like it all you want. The few samples used are in the public domain. http://www.karlmundtproject.com
